Dr. McClure received his DVM
from Texas A&M and his JD from the University of Texas. Currently, Dr.
McClure is an Associate Executive Vice President at the American Veterinary
Medical Association and leads the AVMA’s advocacy programs, both in Washington,
D.C. and at the state level. He has 25 years of experience advocating on policy
issues important to veterinary medicine and veterinary practice, working as
both an attorney and a veterinarian. Dr. McClure previously served as General
Counsel for the Animal Health Institute, where he worked on the development of
policies that affect the veterinary profession and the development of animal
health products.
